The rotunda of the Fine Arts Center hearkens back to the original campus building, referred to as “the Castle”, through its turret forms, corbelled brick and rich palette of materials. The new Fine Arts Building seats 575 and is fully equipped with professional theater rigging equipment and a 52-foot fly loft.

Classroom, laboratory and studio facilities accommodate drawing, painting, photography, ceramics, design and multipurpose physical education activities including gymnastics and dance. The project was completed in September of 1990. In 1992, the Arts Center was the venue for the first ever symposium of the former Secretaries of the Treasury, which was broadcast nationally, via public broadcasting stations.
